Sequence

Amino acid sequence derived from mouse IL-4 (P07750) (Met 1-Ser140) was expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.

Protein length

The recombinant mouse IL-4 consists of 118 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 13.3 kD. The apparent molecular mass of the mouse IL-4 is approximately 15-19 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Endotoxin

< 0.1 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.

Formulation

0.22 µm filtered protein solution is in PBS.

Storage Instructions

Lyophilized mouse IL-4 protein product should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2 -7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Usage notes

Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized mouse IL-4 protein using the buffer we provided not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
